We get asked this question a lot!! The answer — YES! Juniors are half price of the registration fee to encourage more youth to join us in the fun.
Ages 13+ are welcome to race. Parents are welcome to tag along if the junior would like to ride with someone.
Please ensure Juniors are confident riders on blue and black trails. Check out previous race courses for a vibe check.
Racing Etiquette
-
Expect a minimum of 25 kms of riding (some on road) and a mix of intermediate/advanced trails.
The course will likely include blue and black trails with a mix of flow and tech. Elevation gain is usually around 800m.
-
The course is released 2 weeks prior to race day! Head to our Instagram to stay up to date on any new info.
-
Good question; we recommend you take a look at this PinkBike Intro to Enduros.
Basically, the uphills are untimed, and the timed parts come in downhill stages. You can ride with your friends, and at the end, we collect all the stages’ times to find a winner.
-
The downhill timed sections will have riders starting at timed intervals – 30 seconds between each rider.
We ask you to self seed at registration; if you know you’re gunning it, go out first. If you’re going to relax and cruise with friends, we recommend you let others go first.
-
Nope. You can absolutely participate at any level but we do recommend that you are able to ride 30+ km and spend the day on your bike with a lot of elevation gain. Trails will be intermediate/advanced, but we encourage everyone to come out and give it their all. If you want to walk a more difficult section, that is totally fine.
Check out past courses to get an idea of the trails we’ve raced on, as well as distance and elevation.
-
If someone is coming up behind you on a timed downhill section, that means they’re faster than you, so please step aside as soon as your can and let them go by.
If you’re the one coming up on someone else, please yell out “RIDER” to let them know you’re coming.

The Fun Stuff!
-
Each year, we create a vibe for the year that is on our RWE socks (found in your racer package), dress up inspo for the race, and the after party inspo.
This year’s theme is Trail Faries!! We’re talking whimsical, bad ass vibes for all.
Big trail energy with a side of sass, sparkle, and a whole lot of high-speed hootin’ and hollerin’. It’s a weekend to race hard, cheer louder, and show up for each other.
-
We LOOOOVE a not-so-serious racing fit. We encourage party shirts, sparkles, fairy wings, full-blown group costumes, and basically anything fun.
Racers MUST wear a mountain bike helmet. Racers may choose to wear a full-face helmet.

In part, yes! A portion of our profits goes to supporting our trails with the Revelstoke Cycling Association.
-
Hell yes! We are always looking for prizing, financial sponsorship to keep racer entries low, and racer package swag.
